More about me,
I became passionate about mental health through both personal experiences and witnessing the struggles of underserved communities in New Orleans. Early in my career, I worked directly with people whose stories often went unheard, especially during the pandemic, which deepened my understanding of systemic challenges and also showed me the toll of burnout firsthand.
Now, my mission is to help fellow caretakers move from burnout to thriving, reigniting their passions, embracing their true selves, and creating the impact they were meant to have. While I continue to serve underserved communities, my primary focus is guiding those who dedicate their lives to caring for others.
My Professional Journey
I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Millsaps College, also studying philosophy and religious studies, which shaped my understanding of human behavior and resilience. I completed my graduate degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Counseling at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans during the height of the pandemic, a time that deepened my insight into the mental health needs of communities and individuals navigating systemic challenges.
Real-World Experience, Real-Life Insight
Early in my career, I gained experience across inpatient hospitals, residential recovery programs, outpatient mental health centers, MAT programs, and private practice. In these roles, I supported individuals navigating depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, dual diagnoses, codependency, and the silent burnout that many helpers carry, a population I deeply relate to and continue to serve today.
When I Hit Burnout
Like many in the helping professions, I once lost touch with my passions, relationships, and sense of self while trying to meet everyone else’s needs. That experience showed me that burnout isn’t just exhaustion, it’s losing sight of who you are at your core. It also inspired my focus to guide others in reclaiming their energy, passions, and true selves, moving from burnout to thriving.
How I Help Today
Together, we focus on helping you:
-
Build emotional resilience and self-trust
-
Set boundaries with clarity and confidence
-
Heal emotional wounds from past relationships
-
Release perfectionism and people-pleasing habits
-
Reconnect with your authentic self and sense of worth
My Approach
I blend evidence-based strategies with relational warmth, focusing on rediscovering identity, building resilience, and cultivating self-love. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) to explore parts of you holding self-criticism, perfectionism, or burnout, grounding and mindfulness for emotional and nervous system regulation, CBT to reframe limiting beliefs, journaling for self-reflection, and boundary work to protect your energy.
Like the individuals I work with, my approach evolves. I deeply believe that self-compassion is the spark that ignites meaningful change, and together we explore two core truths: balance is possible, and perspective-taking can transform everything.
